 About Us

Prince George Horse Society is a non profit organization formed in 1996 to promote the recreational, social and educational benefits of the equine disciplines and accessibility to equine pursuits for residents of Prince George, British Columbia, and area.

The Prince George Horse Society offers horse boarding facilities at the Prince George Agriplex which are self-board. The boarders come in and feed and take care of their own horses. We provide the storage space for the hay, as well as shavings for the stalls and paddocks. You can board your horse with us annually or seasonally. During the summer, our indoor stalls are used for clinics and other events, like the PGX, and so from May to September the regular boarding is paddocks only. We also offer overnight stabling or short term stabling year round.

There is drop-in indoor riding and drop-in outdoor riding, on a pay as you go basis at $10 per ride (1 horse 1 rider, up to an hour; maximum 2 rides per person per day), or you can purchase a 6 month or 1 year riding pass. Our indoor riding arena is available from 6 am to 11 pm, 365 days a year, when there is no event booked. Check our Calendar page to see when open riding is scheduled.

The Agriplex facility is rented out to member groups as well as other groups, for various events during the year, usually only on weekends: Friday to Monday.
We offer a schooling horse program for youths under 19, which are riding lessons by qualified instructors on the instructor's horses. There are also lessons available for adults with or without their own horse. Please email us to receive information on riding lessons.
